Non-urgent advice: Extended Access & Out of Hours
When We Are Closed
When the surgery is closed you can telephone 111 which is the NHS service to assist you with access to urgent local health services.
Alternatively ring the usual surgery number and you will then automatically be transferred to the out-of-hours service.
The nearest walk-in centre is Clayton Hospital, Northgate, Wakefield WF1 3JS.
Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
Evening and Weekend Appointments Now Available
Patients can now see a local GP for routine appointments on weekday evenings and at weekends.
Pre-bookable and on-the-day appointments are available between 18:30 and 20:30 each weekday, with additional slots available on Saturdays and Sundays between 10:00 and 14:00.
Appointments are available for any Greater Huddersfield patient in the Primary Care Centre hub at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.
If your practice also offers appointments for your patients on evenings and at weekends then you can include details here.
