PRESCRIPTION COLLECTION

PLEASE NOTE THAT WITH EFFECT FROM 1ST OCTOBER 2018 YOU WILL NO LONGER BE ABLE TO COLLECT YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS FROM RECEPTION.

THE ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS ARE :-

  1. NOMINATE A PHARMACY OF YOU CHOICE FOR ELECTRONIC PRESCRIBING – THIS MEAN ONCE A PRESCRIPTION IS ORDERED IT AUTOMATICALLY GOES TO YOUR SELECTED PHARMACY FOR COLLECTION.

  1. REQUEST THAT YOUR PHARMACY COLLECT YOUR PRESCRIPTION FROM RECEPTION ONCE ORDERED.

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING THESE CHANGES PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO ASK AT RECEPTION FOR FURTHER CLARIFICATION.

Repeat Prescriptions

A repeat prescription may be ordered either by returning your repeat slip and placing in the box in the foyer or by ordering online via the link at the top of this page.

If you are not registered for online services please ask at reception for details of how to register.

If you are registered for online services and the system prevents you from ordering your medication on line, please telephone the surgery as sometimes this can be resolved on the telephone.

Alternatively you may post your request with a stamped self-addressed envelope.  Please ensure you have adequate medication at home.

Prescriptions will be ready to collect 24 hours after ordering. With effect from 1st October 2018 all prescriptions will be required to be collected from your pharmacist or by your pharmacist.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, clinical pharmacist, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
