PRESCRIPTION COLLECTION


PLEASE NOTE THAT WITH EFFECT FROM 1ST OCTOBER 2018 YOU WILL NO LONGER BE ABLE TO COLLECT YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS FROM RECEPTION.


THE ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS ARE :-


 



  1. NOMINATE A PHARMACY OF YOU CHOICE FOR ELECTRONIC PRESCRIBING – THIS MEAN ONCE A PRESCRIPTION IS ORDERED IT AUTOMATICALLY GOES TO YOUR SELECTED PHARMACY FOR COLLECTION.


 



  1. REQUEST THAT YOUR PHARMACY COLLECT YOUR PRESCRIPTION FROM RECEPTION ONCE ORDERED.


 


IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING THESE CHANGES PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO ASK AT RECEPTION FOR FURTHER CLARIFICATION.

When We Are Closed

When the surgery is closed you can telephone 111 which is the NHS service to assist you with access to urgent local health services.

Alternatively ring the usual surgery number and you will then automatically be transferred to the out-of-hours service.

The nearest walk-in centre is Clayton Hospital, Northgate, Wakefield WF1 3JS.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
